GPT, has made a lot of talk in recent weeks due to the limitation imposed by the Privacy Guarantor of Italy, then revoked on April 28, 2023 (Chat GPT is, in fact, back available in Italy after the go-ahead from part of the Guarantor).
However, there are also many other implications related to using GPT Chat in daily life, from education, to work, to fake news. We will discover in this guide some of the most important issues related to Chat GPT. Before delving into these aspects, however, it is necessary to understand what Chat GPT is and what this new and advanced algorithm is capable of doing.
What is ChatGPT?
Chat GPT, or Chat Generative Pretrained Transformer, is a chatbot prototype based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), capable of providing answers to user inputs (i.e. questions). Its performances are remarkable and, although insiders read them in a path of continuity with respect to previous goals of Artificial Intelligence, there is no doubt that for the general public they have represented a strong discontinuity. The chatbot has even been compared to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), or strong Artificial Intelligence, which is to say an intelligent agent capable of learning any task that can be learned by a human being.
Chat GPT was launched on the market in November 2022 by the US research company OpenAI with the aim of making Artificial General Intelligence a benefit for everyone. For this same reason, the GPT Chat platform is free, but there are also paid plans that allow priority access to new features including the choice of model among the Default, Legacy and GPT-4 options, even in case of heavy traffic, having faster and more comprehensive answers.
