8 products Apple will discontinue
After the iPhone 17 Event Every year, when Apple launches its new iPhone lineup, it doesn’t just introduce new models—it also phases out others. The iPhone 17 event is no exception.

Some of these are almost certain. Others are educated guesses. But together, they map the reshaping of Apple’s product portfolio in 2025–26.
1. IPhone 15 & iPhone 15 plus
It’s widely anticipated that Apple will drop the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus immediately after the iPhone 17 launch. Many rumors and reports point to this outcome.
Reasoning: Apple aims to keep only two non-Pro iPhones in its lineup. As the iPhone 17 and 17 Air come online, keeping the iPhone 15 series would overlap too much with discounted iPhone 16 units.
From a B2B perspective, this means suppliers of parts for the iPhone 15 (screens, cameras, chassis) may see demand drop sharply, and refurbish markets may start to hoard 15 units before they vanish from official channels.
