Waiting to hear about the moves of meta,
Microsoft and the other hi-tech big names, the Taiwanese manufacturer Htc has launched Desire 22 Pro, its smartphone for the metaverse.
HTC assures that its new model is focused on the metaverse, especially HTC’s VIVERSE. The metaverse is that technology that companies like Meta or Telefónica are investing so much in, but which is still in its infancy. That is why it draws so much attention that, without having launched a competitive device for many years, HTC uses this concept to try to resurrect in the mobile segment.
The peculiarity, then, is the direct access to
Viverse, the ecosystem of 3D worlds that Htc presented at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February 2022, open to both Android terminals and its virtual reality viewers, Vive Flow. Interestingly, the HTC Desire 22 Pro boasts in Taiwan of including features such as an Ethereum and Polygon wallet, a marketplace to trade NFTs, and a free NFT, without specifying what it is or what it is worth. However, it seems that all these functions (or their use as a marketing claim) may vary depending on the country because in the UK nothing is mentioned about them and the phone has also been launched there.
‘Unlock endless possibilities with optimized performance and connectivity to 5G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which make virtual browsing quick and easy. Visit the metaverse communities in Viverse using your browser or pair Desire 22 Pro with Vive Flow to explore them in virtual reality ‘reads the presentation of the phone.
