The iPhone 15 Pro was announced as the major hardware upgrade following the launch of the iPhone X. Not all the expectations and dreams have been realized, leaving some people disappointed with the new models, which are labeled as a minor upgrade.
It’s true that almost nothing, if anything at all, in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max is revolutionary. It’s also true that much of it is just refinement introduced under the pressure of competition. Not to mention that the biggest technical novelty, the USB-C port, has been seen in Android phones since 2015, and Apple adopted it due to regulatory requirements, not choice.
But even though the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in their deep DNA are the result of regulatory requirements, chasing the competition, and refinements of old ideas, the result is that all of this changes or innovates many of the main pillars of the Apple platform, adding to the Apple recipe.
So, those who buy the new models this year have a phone that may not seem too different on the surface but is actually different in some fundamental pillars. Let’s see how and what this means. Design Apple changed the design and materials of the iPhone 15 Pro for the first time since the launch of the iPhone 12. It’s nothing dramatically different from the iPhone 14 Pro, but the mutation has a substantial influence, becoming one of the notable elements of the new models.
