18 years ago I became aware for the first time of what is now described as a Metaverse, precisely when the Second Life platform was born.
While back then the vision of Second Life was not really backed up by the existing technology of that time, the principle was the same. That of creating a virtual world where we exist within it as an Avatar, able to perform every practical function that we perform in the physical world, both leisure and commerce, and now within the metaphysical world of the Metaverse.
