2021 was not a particularly pleasant year. Covid was, and actually continues to be, the main global concern. Contagions, deaths, masks, variants were the watchwords of every television and journalistic news. For this reason, many, naively, had thought of 2022 as the turning point in the fight against the pandemic.

In a sense, this was the case, in fact it is estimated that about 60% of the global population has completed the vaccination cycle (first and second dose). Obviously, the pandemic is still ongoing, and the fourth doses are already being considered for September 2022.

However, 2022 brought with it something as unexpected as it is anachronistic, namely an armed conflict in the heart of continental Europe. Still, in the middle of all this, we managed to miss the point and also forgot something: the climate disaster. Which, no doubt about it, it’s already happening. What has fallen by the wayside, as often happens in moments of deepest crisis, is the political agenda that the European Commission set at the end of 2019, based on the greatest crisis that mankind is facing: the climate crisis.
