In recent days an interesting indiscretion regarding YouTube has been leaked. In fact, it would seem that the platform will reserve an additional option for paid users which will be called ‘1080p Premium’. As you can already guess from the name, the new feature will allow you to have an ‘improved bitrate’ compared to what is guaranteed by the 1080 standard. Therefore, the image quality should be less strongly compressed.
The indiscretion was launched by Tech Today, who speculated that this new option could meet the tastes of users who want to watch videos in higher quality.
In addition, this option could offset YouTube’s operating costs to satisfy users’ desire to watch higher quality videos on their mobile device.
This news, among other things, comes a short distance from the announcement of the resignation of the managing director Susan Wojcicki.
